Is it necessary to have a kitchen project designer?
It is not difficult to select kitchen door styles and colors. However, when it comes to designing your kitchen for function and ease of use, time and planning must be the primary focus for an outstanding kitchen. Some of our clients will have a general sketch or outline of what they would like to see in their kitchen. And there are some clients who would strictly prefer to use our expertise in the design. For some, it is difficult to visualize the way to organize the appliances and cabinets, especially if you have lived in your home for a while. With a knowledgeable and experienced eye, a kitchen design professional will present you with options you may never have considered. Once the general idea for the layout is finished, creating the actual design takes a trained professional.
Why use us rather than a big box retailer or kitchen showroom?
Typically, big box stores and kitchen showrooms do not have staff with the complete level of experience and background to satisfy your design needs. We are the ones that design, build, and install and we have been doing this for 25 years. There is no outsourcing. Our level of teamwork with the existing trades on site and knowledge of construction is unsurpassed by any retail store.
Our goal is to provide you with the custom kitchen you need inclusive of function, style, color, options and dimensions. Each kitchen is custom made.We design and develop our beautiful kitchens to blend into your home for perfect harmonic function. The fact that each kitchen is custom made alleviates a need to have showrooms spread across the country… we cater to your exact needs.
Sometimes a client, after comparing prices and seeing the difference, will ask, “How can you offer your custom kitchen cabinets at prices that are competitive with the other companies?” One of the big reasons for this is our showroom – we don’t have one, nor do we have the expense that accompanies a showroom. We provide more value simply from deciding to not have that large overhead to cover each month.
How do I identify what my style is in kitchen?
Knowing what you want is half the battle. But how does one translate preferences into cabinet door styles, finishes and wood species? Well, one can look through magazines and dog ear pages, rip them out, make a nice collage or....
just take this test.
What is my style?
Can Whitten Custom Carpentry advise me on any structural changes to improve my kitchen layout?
It is always best to consult with an engineer or contractor first, if you have commissioned one. Most times we are able to determine if a wall is structural or not from the kitchen floor plan only, although, without a site visit or a full set of plans, this can sometimes be difficult. If you are planning on removing walls, then, it is best to schedule a site visit of your home with our structural expert. We can then advise you on how to proceeded in order for you to provide proper structural integrity of your home.
